JJ Foodservice expands with 20 new Grafters

National food and drink wholesaler, JJ Foodservice has taken delivery of 20 new 3.5-tonne Isuzu N35.125 Grafters with automatic transmission, supporting the continued expansion of its nationwide delivery operations. As one of the first Isuzu Truck UK customers, the deal builds on a relationship between the two companies that now spans three decades.

The new additions join a 155-strong, 100 per cent Isuzu-supplied mixed commercial vehicle fleet, which also includes both 7.5-tonne and 13.5-tonne models. The latest Grafters have been fitted with Solomon Commercials insulated box bodies, featuring ambient, chilled and frozen compartments, allowing for the delivery of a wider range of products, while still maintaining strict temperature control.

Kaan Hendekli, Chief Operating Officer, says: “We continue to choose Isuzu because of the reliability and robust qualities of its vehicles, combined with the excellent aftersales support we receive, and of course, positive feedback from our drivers.

“As our operations have evolved, so has our relationship with the brand, with a shift away from the heavier models towards the Grafter, which has become an increasingly important part of our fleet. They are well suited to deliveries for our domestic customers, giving us the flexibility we need as the business continues to expand.”

Shifting the focus to 3.5-tonnes

First introduced to the fleet in 2022, JJ Foodservice has steadily increased its use of the 3.5-tonne chassis across its operation, with the vehicles well suited to its growing number of domestic deliveries. This has enabled the company to operate more efficiently in urban environments, while maintaining the service level expected by its customers.

The vehicles are maintained in-house by JJ Foodservice and are expected to remain in service for at least 10 years, underlining the company’s confidence in the durability and reliability of the Isuzu product. As with all Isuzu chassis, the Grafters are covered by a manufacturer three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance, as well as access to the Isuzu Truck UK Customer CARE Team and comprehensive dealer network.

Operating from 13 depots nationwide, JJ Foodservice supplies a full range of fresh, frozen, chilled and ambient food products to more than 100,000 food service and home customers across the UK.

Bin Boutique cleans up with new Isuzu Grafters

Blyth-based wheelie bin cleaning specialist, Bin Boutique, has taken delivery of its first ever vehicles from Isuzu Truck UK, welcoming three new 3.5-tonne N35.125 (S) Grafters from local dealer Thompson Commercials.

Replacing similar vehicles from another manufacturer, the new Grafters join the company’s 15-strong commercial fleet. Each has been fitted with a specialist body from Robinson Truck Bodies, which has been designed to accommodate water and waste tanks, jet washing equipment, and other cleaning tools.

Claire Norvell, Owner of Bin Boutique, says:

“We needed a truck that could support the specialist bin-cleaning equipment we use, while delivering the reliability and practicality we need. The Grafter offered the ideal solution and is already proving to be a great addition to our fleet – and it’s brilliant to see they are also well liked by our drivers.”

On the road five days per week, each vehicle is expected to cover at least 15,000 miles annually. To maximise uptime and provide long-term peace of mind, Bin Boutique opted for the manufacturer’s five-year Extended Warranty and Free Servicing Package, which provides support beyond the standard three-year unlimited-mileage warranty. All maintenance will be carried out by local dealer, Thompson Commercials.

“The support from Dave Forster and the Thompson Commercials team has been excellent throughout the entire process. They made sure they fully understood what we were looking for and helped specify the vehicles to meet our exact requirements. Their knowledge and customer focus gave us complete confidence in choosing to make the switch to Isuzu,” adds Norvell.

Bin Boutique offers kerbside bin sanitation services for domestic and commercial customers across the North East, using purpose-built vehicles to wash, sanitise, and recover wastewater so it can be responsibly disposed of, minimising impact on the local environment.

Tree Technique stays rooted with Isuzu Grafters

Salisbury-based tree surgeon, Tree Technique, has taken delivery of two Isuzu N35.150 Grafters from local dealer, Ferndown Commercials.

The new Grafters replace the first Isuzu the company took delivery of in 2014, as well as a similarly sized vehicle from another manufacturer. Both have been fitted with arboriculture bodywork from Brit-Tipp to support the business’s day-to-day operations.

Lee Hibbs, Managing Director at Tree Technique, says:

“Our first Grafter was the most reliable vehicle in our fleet for 12 years, so when it came time to replace it, choosing Isuzu again was an easy decision. It gives us the payload, durability, and towing capacity we need for the work we do every day.

“We specified this model to make the journey between jobs more comfortable for our three-person crews. Ferndown Commercials also fitted a reversing camera for added safety and convenience on customer sites. They took the time to understand our requirements and recommend a specification that meets our needs perfectly.”

The 3.5-tonners are expected to cover 25,000 miles annually, transporting teams, equipment, and green waste. The vehicles were supplied by Dale Johnson at Ferndown Commercials and feature specialist arboriculture bodywork designed to operate with a towed chipper unit, enabling the business to efficiently collect and clear waste generated during tree maintenance and site clearance projects.

The vehicles are expected to remain in the seven-strong fleet for five years. For additional peace of mind beyond the standard three-year unlimited-mileage warranty, the company chose an Extended Warranty and Free Servicing Package to cover new vehicles in service.

Founded in 2004, Tree Technique offers upkeep and removal of hedges, stumps and trees, as well as site clearance and ash dieback services for commercial sites and homeowners across Wiltshire.

Crowfoots Carriers still chooses Isuzu after 30 years

Crowfoots Carriers has taken delivery of three 13.5-tonne Isuzu F135.240(E) rigid with bespoke curtainside bodywork, reinforcing a long-established relationship that dates back to the manufacturer's arrival in the UK in 1996.

The trucks join an 80-strong fleet, with Isuzu models making up more than half. While Isuzu’s share was previously centred on 7.5-tonners, Crowfoots has recently begun introducing the marque’s 3.5-tonne Grafters and 13.5-tonne F-Series to handle a wider mix of deliveries more efficiently.

Michael Crowfoot, Director of Crowfoots Carriers, says: “Over the years, we’ve taken more than 100 vehicles from Isuzu, and we will continue to choose the brand because of its proven reliability. It is the only manufacturer that has consistently had a presence in our fleet in the last three decades.

“Adding the Grafter and F-Series in the last few years has streamlined our operations, allowing us to match vehicle size to the job we need it for, so we aren’t running trucks with a partial load, or sending more than one.”

Outstanding service underlines 30-year relationship

After taking delivery of each chassis directly from Isuzu Truck UK, Crowfoots Carriers mounts its own curtainside bodywork in-house, fitting each of the three new arrivals with a Dhollandia 1,500kg tail lift for efficient loading. Authorised dealers t.i.m. Commercials and RH Commercial Vehicles in Leicester then provide ongoing aftersales support. The new trucks replace similarly sized vehicles from another manufacturer and will be operating from the company’s Manchester depot.

“We’ve always been impressed by the excellent support we receive from the dealer network,” adds Crowfoot. “It gives us peace of mind knowing that we’re able to pick up the phone anytime and speak to someone who understands the needs of our business.”

All three vehicles are supplied with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance, alongside access to the Customer CARE team and comprehensive dealer network. After the warranty period, all maintenance will be handled by Crowfoots’ experienced workshop team using genuine Isuzu parts.

Established in 1912, Crowfoots Carriers is a family-run transport company, delivering parcels, pallets, oversize and ADR freight for customers across the UK.

Small Footprint helps Skippy Waste Services

Teesside-based waste disposal company, Skippy Waste Services, has taken delivery of its first Isuzu vehicle, a 3.5-tonne N35.125(T) Grafter, supplied by local dealer Thompsons Commercials.

With a ‘mini skiploader’ bodywork designed by Webb Truck Equipment, the new Grafter will play a key role in the company’s daily operations, handling the collection and delivery of the company’s smallest skips, to relieve pressure on the wider fleet of eight commercial vehicles.

Jay Mason, Director of Skippy Waste Services, says: “The Grafter has quickly become a favourite – it’s so easy to drive, even when fully loaded, and the turning circle makes a big difference in tight spaces. I spoke to several other operators before we made the purchase, and I now understand exactly why they spoke so highly of it!”

Commenting on the advice provided by the supplying Isuzu Truck dealer, he adds: “Dave Forster at Thompsons was fantastic. He gave us a great introduction to both the Isuzu brand and the capability of the vehicle, whilst also ensuring the specification fitted our needs exactly. The Grafter’s lightweight chassis means it can accommodate larger skips than many comparable 3.5-tonne models, which gives us greater flexibility.”

Skippy Waste Services specified the body to closely mirror equipment on its 7.5-tonne vehicles, maximising driver familiarity and ensuring consistency across the fleet. The N35.125(T) chassis was also built with twin rear wheels for added stability and traction. Combined with the Grafter’s compact footprint, this makes it well-suited for accessing sites with restricted access.

To maximise uptime, the customer has opted for a five-year Extended Warranty and Free Servicing Package with Isuzu, to match plans to keep the truck on its fleet until at least 2031. This provides additional peace of mind beyond the manufacturer’s standard three-year unlimited mileage warranty, with the truck expected to clock up around 200km each day.

Founded in 1999, Skippy Waste Services offers specialised waste transfer and recycling services, with more than 600 skips ranging in size from two yards, for small DIY projects, to 40-yard roll-on roll-off units for industrial applications.

Isuzu to Debut New Truck Range at RTX 2026

Isuzu Truck UK will unveil a new generation of commercial vehicles at Road Transport Expo 2026 (Stand Y37, 30 June – 2 July, NAEC Stoneleigh), marking the most significant overhaul of its product line-up in its 30-year UK history.

The Stoneleigh showground will provide the first public opportunity to see the new P700 product range in the UK, with a 3.5-tonne, 7.5-tonne and 13.5-tonne chassis taking pride of place on the manufacturer’s outdoor stand.

New range to break cover

Isuzu says the new line-up, which includes narrow, day and crew cabs each engineered to be safer, quieter and more efficient – will stand apart for maintaining Isuzu’s unmistakable identity. They will also benefit from a comprehensive range of upgrades, including LED lights, air-conditioning and satellite navigation as standard, with an in-cab infotainment system offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for an enhanced driver experience.

Pete Murphy, Managing Director of Isuzu Truck UK, says: “With the new P700 range, we are not just raising the bar for safety, comfort and efficiency, but also giving our customers more choice with several new model variants being introduced to widen our appeal.”

Range expansion

The new variants will include a crew cab model for the first time at 6.5-tonnes, joining the existing crew cab option already available at 7.5-tonnes and popular in the recovery sector.

Isuzu is also introducing a third engine choice within its versatile 7.5-tonne range, with a 3.0-litre turbo intercooled diesel engine producing 175 PS, sliding in neatly between the existing 150 PS 3.0-litre and 190 PS 5.2-litre diesel engine options. It will come complete with the new ISIM (Isuzu Smooth Intelligent Transmission) Dual Clutch nine-speed gearbox, giving operators the ability to unlock additional power for more demanding applications, without the added weight of a larger displacement engine. This new nine-speed gearbox is available across the N-Series range, from 5.5 to 7.5 tonnes.

Completing the additions will be a longer 5,320mm wheelbase variant for the F-Series range at 13.5-tonnes, affording customers a choice of five wheelbase lengths starting from 3,790mm.

Murphy says: “This is the culmination of a huge investment in R&D across Isuzu Motors and follows the successful introduction of the new range into other key markets globally, including North America, Australia and our home market in Japan. We are confident the P700 range will be incredibly well received in the UK, and we’re genuinely counting the days until our order books formally open early in July.”

Other key upgrades on applicable models will include the introduction of Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), Distance Warning System (DWS), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), all designed to maximise vehicle safety.

Production of the first next generation right-hand drive models for the UK market will commence at Isuzu’s Fujisawa plant, southwest of Tokyo, in August. The first new generation chassis will begin arriving at bodybuilders in the UK from October.

On display at RTX

Joining the new models on display at RTX will be five customer trucks from the current product line-up, including two 3.5-tonne Isuzu N35 Grafters – one with a Brit-Tipp steel floor tipper body, and the second with specialist Jiffy Banquet mobile catering bodywork.

They will be joined by a pair of 7.5-tonners, to demonstrate the wide appeal of Isuzu’s N75 model range, one with Brit-Tipp tipping bodywork and the other a box van in Wren Kitchen’s distinctive green livery.

Completing the trucks on display will be a 13.5-tonne model mounted with a curtainside body and tail-lift, and destined to enter service following the show with Crowfoots Carriers.

Robert Wellock & Son harvest new Isuzu Grafters

Wholesale potato merchant, Robert Wellock & Son, has continued its decades-long relationship with the Isuzu brand, taking delivery of two new N35.125 Grafters from Warrington Vehicle Centre, which has been supplying new vehicles from the manufacturer into the business for more than six years.

The new 3.5-tonners replace two identical spec older vehicles in the company’s six-strong, 100 per cent Isuzu Grafter fleet. Each is mounted with a custom insulated aluminium curtainside body from Fosters Commercials, featuring a compact GAH refrigeration unit to help maintain product quality.

Robert Wellock, Owner of Robert Wellock & Son, says: “The Isuzu Grafter has been a perfect fit for our business for years – it’s strong, reliable and easily manoeuvrable. The flat-front cab helps our drivers navigate the narrow lanes and tight car parks, while the lightweight chassis allows us to fit our preferred body spec and still achieve the payload we need.”

A family-run business, Robert Wellock & Sons supplies fresh potatoes to pubs and restaurants across the north of England, operating daily multi-drop delivery routes which fully utilises the Grafter’s ability to carry up to four pallets of specially prepared and pre-packed potatoes.

After more than two decades working together, the relationship we’ve built is all about trust – we know that the vehicles we get will perform exactly as we need, every day. If we ever do have any issues, the support we receive from Warrington Vehicle Centre is always first-class; they make it very easy to keep our fleet on the road

, adds Wellock.

Dependable daily performance

Robert Wellock & Son has opted for an Extended Warranty and Free Servicing Package, which provides comprehensive coverage that helps to ensure predictable operational costs and peace of mind while the vehicles remain in operation. All servicing and maintenance is carried out by Isuzu Truck UK’s extensive dealer network.

On the road six days per week, the Grafters are expected to clock up 50,000 miles annually. They will remain in the fleet for three years before being replaced, as part of the company’s regular fleet refresh policy.

Robert Wellock & Son took delivery of its first Isuzu in 2001, and the brand has remained central to its operations ever since. The latest 3.5-tonners were supplied by Rob Calderbank at Warrington Vehicle Centre and are finished in the company’s distinctive navy livery.

Isuzu delivers 13.5-tonners for Geotechnical

Independent ground investigation contractor, Geotechnical Engineering, has introduced its first Isuzu rigids, with the arrival of four F135.240(E) 13.5-tonners with beavertail bodywork supplied by Isuzu Truck dealer Aquila Truck Centres.

Replacing 7-tonne light commercials from another manufacturer, the move to Isuzu centred around a need to increase payload capacity, without compromising on build quality or reliability. The new trucks are mounted with bespoke beavertail bodies from Truck Hydraulics, each featuring a three-metre ramp to ensure a load angle of less than 20 degrees, supporting the safe and easy loading of a variety of plant and drilling equipment.

Karl Wintle, Senior Manager of Geotechnical Engineering, says: “The machinery we use on site continues to get heavier and more sophisticated, meaning our existing 7-tonners weren’t up to the task. A move to larger trucks was inevitable, and as we developed the ideal specification and evaluated our options, it became obvious that Isuzu was the frontrunner.”

Teams from Aquila Truck Centres and Truck Hydraulics worked closely to ensure the vehicles meet the precise needs of Geotechnical Engineering’s operations, proposing a chassis and body combination that would unlock genuine efficiency savings for the business.

By selecting the Isuzu F-Series, we benefit from a robust, highly manoeuvrable vehicle, which we’re confident will deliver great reliability. A lot of our plant is powered by Isuzu diesel engines, so we’ve first-hand experience with the quality and dependability of these drivelines.

Upgrading payload and performance

The F-Series’ lightweight chassis also ensures a competitive payload capacity, enabling the 13.5-tonners to support the delivery of intermediate bulk containers (IBC), which carry the water essential for on-site drilling activities. This helps to reduce the number of trips required to deliver all necessary materials to customer sites – providing both efficiency and sustainability benefits.

Supplied by Paul Teakle at Aquila Truck Centres’ Gloucester dealership, the vehicles are expected to be on the road five days per week, travelling 30,000 miles annually. They will remain in service for at least the next five years and form part of the company’s 110-strong mixed commercial vehicle fleet.

All four chassis are covered by the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance, and access to the Isuzu Truck UK Customer CARE Team and comprehensive dealer network.

Founded in 1961, Geotechnical Engineering delivers geotechnical and geospatial services, including ground investigations, drilling, lab testing, topographical and utility surveys for infrastructure projects across the UK from its locations in Gloucester and Manchester.

New ISUZU trucks do the heavy lifting

Hydraulic attachment specialist, Coyle Equipment Services, has taken delivery of two new Isuzu trucks from local dealer Cordwallis Group, continuing a more than 15-year relationship between the two companies.

The 13.5-tonne F135.240(E) and 7.5-tonne N75.190(E) are both mounted with bespoke-built dropside bodies from TLC Auto Refinishing, specifically designed to withstand the unique weight distribution and pressure points associated with transporting heavy hydraulic equipment. The trucks represent new additions to the company’s mixed commercial vehicle fleet and will support the demanding transport requirements of its growing operations.

William Coyle, Director of Middlesex-based Coyle Equipment Services, says: “We’ve been specifying Isuzu trucks for years, and in these weight categories they have consistently proven to be the right choice for us. Both rigids offer outstanding reliability, with a hugely competitive payload capacity. Our vehicles need to carry heavy and awkward loads, and the Isuzu chassis have always performed.

We also have a great relationship with the team at Cordwallis Group, which has supported us every step of the way. It’s clear they understand what we need for our operation, working with the bodybuilder for every new build to ensure we receive the right specs to meet our unique requirements.

Alongside a reinforced deck, the dropside bodies each feature multiple heavy duty lashing points to ensure optimum flexibility and security when carrying different load configurations, alongside a working-at-height fall restraint system for added operator safety.

Supplied by Lloyd James, Isuzu Truck Sales Manager at Cordwallis Group, the new trucks will be on the road up to seven days per week and are expected to travel 50,000 miles annually, remaining in the fleet for at least eight years.

Both chassis have been supplied with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes roadside assistance and access to Isuzu Truck UK’s Customer CARE programme with a dedicated representative on hand to provide support for any queries.

Established in 2010, Coyle Equipment Services is a national provider of hydraulic breakers and attachments for construction, demolition, utilities, recycling and civil engineering. It supplies a full range of equipment from major global manufacturers, supported by maintenance, testing and hire services delivered from four locations, in Birmingham, Bristol, London and a new location in Manchester.

First 13.5-tonne Isuzu for Beechwood Industries

Cheshire-based horticulture specialist, Beechwood Industries, has welcomed its first 13.5-tonne Isuzu F135.240(E) into its operation. Supplied by local dealer Warrington Vehicle Centre, the new delivery continues a long-standing relationship with the marque that spans nearly two decades.

A new addition to the customer’s 21-strong mixed commercial vehicle fleet, the company’s latest Isuzu features a custom arboriculture tipper body from PD Stevens and Son, which replicates similar bodywork mounted to two of the company’s 14 3.5-tonne Isuzu Grafters. The build features split rear barn doors, for easy collection of green waste from a towed chipper, together with a tool pod behind the cab for convenient, secure equipment storage.

Adam Halford, Director of Beechwood Industries, says: “Warrington Vehicle Centre introduced us to Isuzu in 2017, and we haven’t looked back since. Their trucks have built a great reputation within the arb industry, mainly driven by their outstanding reliability. Within our business, we describe them as bulletproof.

When we started looking at options for a heavier truck to improve operational efficiency, the Isuzu F-Series was the clear leader, mainly owing to its compact footprint. It gives us an increased payload capacity, meaning fewer trips back to base to empty it, without compromising on the agility we require for our daily work.

Supplied by Rob Calderbank at Warrington Vehicle Centre, the new truck is expected to cover 13,500 miles annually and be on the road five days per week. It will remain in service for at least five years, with the first three covered by the manufacturer’s unlimited mileage warranty – standard on all Isuzu chassis – which includes 24/7 roadside assistance and access to the company’s Customer CARE Team.

After 19 years working with Rob at Warrington Vehicle Centre, we know we can rely on them to deliver the right vehicle for the job. Their advice has shown a clear understanding of the needs of our business, and the support we receive from them always makes things easy,

Halford adds.

Alongside its dedicated arb tippers, Beechwood Industries also operates 12 Isuzu Grafters fitted with flatbed bodies, which are used to support the company’s wider landscaping and ground maintenance work.

Founded in 2007, family-run Beechwood Industries specialises in tree surgery and landscaping, together with construction and grounds maintenance services for customers across the North West of England.

South West Loos rolls out new Isuzu Grafter

Portable toilet rental company, South West Loos, has taken delivery of a new Isuzu N35.125(T) Grafter from local dealer SW Commercials, continuing a longstanding and trusted relationship with the brand.

The latest Grafter is a new addition to the company’s seven-strong, all-Isuzu fleet, and is the first of its 3.5-tonners to be specifically designed for service and maintenance operations. Mounted with a specialist body featuring a waste tank and pumping unit from Rapide Tankers, South West Loos opted for the twin rear wheel model for additional stability and traction, making it ideally suited for difficult-to-access sites.

Kirsty Jones, Partner of South West Loos, says: “We’ve relied on Isuzu trucks for years, as they have repeatedly shown they can handle the high mileages and tough terrain we often deliver to. This is our 16th in total and represents a real milestone for the business. Purpose-built for service, it shows how as our needs have evolved, Isuzu has been able to evolve with us.

SW Commercials has also been fantastic to work with. The team ensures we get the right vehicles for our fleet, then helps to keep them on the road so we’re always ready to go, especially during our busy season. This personalised care is what keeps us coming back.

South West Loos currently operates one 11-tonne F-Series alongside six manual transmission 3.5-tonne Grafters. Each Grafter offers an impressive 3.5-tonne towing capacity, allowing them to operate with a gross train weight of up to 7 tonnes, for maximum efficiency when delivering both premium toilet trailers and single units.

The new vehicle is expected to cover 35,000 miles annually and will be on the road five days per week during the peak summer season, dropping to three to four days throughout the rest of the year.

Serviced and maintained by SW Commercials, the chassis is covered by the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty. This includes 24/7 roadside assistance and access to the Isuzu Truck UK Customer CARE team.

Offering building site toilet hire, luxury toilet trailers, and individual portable toilets for private gatherings, weddings, corporate events and special occasions, South West Loos operates for customers across Cornwall and Devon.

Sam Wilkinson Solid Fuels powers up with Isuzu

Whitby coal supplier, Sam Wilkinson Solid Fuels, has taken delivery of its first-ever Isuzu N35.150(T) Grafters from local dealer Thompson Commercials, after being told the 3.5-tonners are “the best around for the type of work we do”.

The two new Isuzu Grafters join a five-strong mixed commercial fleet, replacing similar vehicles from another manufacturer. They each feature custom dropside bodies from Robinson Truck Bodies, with a Penny PH110 crane mounted to one for the loading and unloading of larger bags of firewood or coal. Additional bespoke elements of the build include an increased bed height to help prevent injury when lifting and extra heavy-duty lashing points for improved load security.

Sam Wilkinson, Owner of Sam Wilkinson Solid Fuels, says: “We looked towards Isuzu when our previous manufacturer stopped making flat front cabs, which we need to be able to manoeuvre around many of our customer sites.

After speaking to others in the industry, Isuzu consistently came up as the best around for the type of work that we do. Between the payload capacity, the agility of the chassis and their reliability, the Grafters have really impressed us.

By opting for the N35.150(T) model, the company benefits from twin rear wheels, a powerful three-litre engine and a five-speed manual gearbox, perfect for navigating the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales that are home to the majority of its customers.

Thompson Commercials has also been incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. We told them exactly what we needed, and they helped us spec each vehicle to fit that bill. The service we received was personal, thorough and professional, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Wilkinson adds.

Both Grafters will be on the road at least five days per week, averaging 12,000 miles annually, completing deliveries within a 40-mile radius of the company’s Whitby base. As with all Isuzu chassis, the new 3.5-tonners are covered by the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance, alongside access to the company’s dedicated Customer CARE Team and its extensive dealer network.

Founded in 2012, Sam Wilkinson Solid Fuels has rapidly expanded its operation through the acquisition of similar businesses in the past six years, delivering loose and packed coal, kindling, bulk logs and FloGas to customers across North Yorkshire.

Terry’s Timber nails down new 7.5-tonne Isuzu

Liverpool timber merchant, Terry’s Timber, has welcomed a new 7.5-tonne Isuzu N75.190(E) into its commercial vehicle fleet, supplied by local dealer Ditchburn Truck Services. Continuing a long-standing relationship with the manufacturer, the company’s latest rigid was selected from the Isuzu Truck UK Driveaway range, ensuring minimal lead time and rapid delivery.

Replacing an identical truck in a five-strong, 100% Isuzu-supplied commercial vehicle fleet – comprised of three 7.5-tonners and two 3.5-tonne Grafters – it features a dropside body from Brit-Tipp, which helps with the loading and delivery of a large range of heavy timber products.

Sean Whalley, Transport Manager for Terry’s Timber, says: “We’ve purchased both heavier rigids and smaller Grafters from Isuzu since we made the switch in 2018. For what we use them for, they’re brilliant, offering both great payload capacity and outstanding manoeuvrability. The option to source a new truck from the Driveaway range is also a huge plus, allowing us to get it on the road and working in double quick time.”

With a selection of pre-bodied vehicles available from Isuzu Truck UK’s bodybuilder partners, the Driveaway range provides customers with a convenient way to simplify the purchasing process.

The team at Ditchburn really tried to understand our business from the second we started working with them, providing solutions like the Driveaway range to ensure we get the right vehicle, when we need it. They go above and beyond to make it a positive experience and that’s why we keep coming back to Isuzu.

adds Whalley.

As with all of its previous Isuzu vehicles, the latest 7.5-tonner has been supplied with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance, and access to the company’s dedicated Customer CARE Team.

On the road five days per week, it will complete up to 24 local deliveries daily and average 8,000 miles annually for the next five years.

Supplying the trade and DIY sectors for more than 40 years, Terry’s Timber specialises in sheet material, fencing, flooring and decking, delivering to customers in Merseyside and the surrounding area.

Connick Tree Care branches out with Isuzu Grafter

Connick Tree Care has continued a 27-year relationship with Isuzu after taking delivery of its latest 3.5-tonne N35.125 Grafter, a new addition to the fleet that will support business growth, with two more set to join the business in early 2026 that will replace older vehicles.

The new 3.5-tonners will join a commercial vehicle fleet almost exclusively supplied by Isuzu Truck UK, including 28 Grafters and eight 7.5-tonne N-Series rigids, all mounted with custom arboriculture tipper bodywork from Southern Vehicle Bodies. The new additions are built to operate with a towed Brushwood Chipper unit, and feature a tool pod mounted behind the cab for secure, convenient storage.

Dan Pennington, Managing Director of Connick Tree Care, says: “We purchased our first Grafter in 1998, and we’ve never really looked back. The combination of a solid, dependable chassis with our particular arb body design is perfect for the type of work we do. There’s nothing else on the market that would suit us better.

Tree surgery and arboriculture work can be very hard on a fleet, but we find that every Isuzu we’ve ever run has always been up to the test.

All of Connick Tree Care’s Isuzu chassis are supplied with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance, alongside access to the company’s dedicated Customer CARE Team and its extensive dealer network.

Pennington adds: “We have a great relationship with Isuzu Truck UK’s National Fleet Sales Manager, Lee Tansley, and the whole Isuzu team. Plus, whenever we’ve needed to turn to the dealer network for any service or maintenance on our vehicles, everyone goes out of their way to ensure we’re given the best possible experience, making us feel supported throughout.”

Operating out of the company’s Reigate headquarters, the new Grafters will be on the road up to six days per week, averaging 25,000 miles annually. Each will remain in service for four years, before being replaced as part of the company’s fleet renewal programme.

Founded in 1985, Connick Tree Care offers tree, shrub and hedge maintenance, arboriculture consultancy, tree planting, pest and disease treatment to customers across Berkshire, Hampshire, Kent, London, Surrey and Sussex, including working with English Heritage and the Royal Parks.

Isuzu more than does the job for Waterloo Hire

Longstanding Isuzu customer, Waterloo Hire, has taken delivery of a new N35.125 Grafter from local dealer Ditchburn Truck Services. Replacing a similar-spec 3.5-tonner from another manufacturer, it joins a 19-strong mixed commercial fleet comprised primarily of Isuzu vehicles.

The company’s new Grafter is mounted with a custom-built flatbed body from Brit-Tipp, featuring a 1.2m platform tail-lift and a fall arrest protection system. This latest vehicle will support the delivery and collection of portable toilet units across North Wales and the North West.

Stephen Harris, Managing Director for Waterloo Hire says: “In the 15 years since our first Isuzu, the Grafter has proven to be perfectly suited to our business, primarily because of the adaptability of the chassis. Alongside the dropsides, we’ve also mounted tanker bodies to them and they’ve never missed a beat. The payload capacity, especially when pulling a trailer, is also really impressive and is exactly what we need.”

Waterloo Hire also operates two 6.5-tonne and one 7.5-tonne N-Series Isuzu trucks, again featuring both Britt-Tipp flatbeds and tanker bodies, which are all custom built by GK&N Services. When coupled with a trailer, they also offer significant additional capacity for larger deliveries.

Another factor that keeps us coming back to Isuzu is the excellent service we receive from Ditchburn Truck Services; they consistently go above and beyond to ensure we feel fully supported. Over the years they’ve built an impressive understanding of our business, meaning when we acquire new vehicles, we always get exactly the right spec and build to suit our precise needs.

adds Harris.

On the road at least five days per week, the new Grafter is expected to travel 15,000 miles annually and will remain in the fleet for five years. The chassis is covered by the manufacturer's three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance and access to the Isuzu Truck UK Customer CARE Team.

Waterloo Hire offers a variety of self-contained portable toilets for construction sites and outdoor events, alongside shower hire, mobile welfare units and septic tank servicing for both domestic and commercial settings.

Six new Isuzu Grafters for Britannia Buffet Services

Leicester-based, Britannia Buffet Services has taken delivery of six new Isuzu N35.125 Grafters, each mounted with a specialist Jiffy Banquet body from Jiffy Trucks, replacing identical vehicles coming to the end of service within its nine-strong mixed commercial fleet.

Offering a wide range of catering services, the company currently operates seven Isuzu Grafters, each working daily lunch service routes. The build includes an oven, ambient storage, and a refrigerated compartment that allows Britannia Buffet Services to offer a wide range of hot and cold food, drinks and snacks.

Dave Prentice, Director of Britannia Buffet Services, says:

“The body build is perfectly suited to our business, but it’s the reliability of the vehicle underneath that keeps us coming back. We have looked at other options, but Isuzu are just built better; it isn’t much of a competition.

“The level of aftersales support from our local dealer, Paynes of Hinkley, and the Isuzu Customer CARE team is also outstanding. For any servicing or maintenance, the team at Paynes will take the vehicles at the end of the day and have them ready for us the next morning, and though we’ve never had any issues, I still regularly get the nicest call from the Customer CARE team to check in – you don’t get that type of service anywhere else.”

Delivering to customers across Leicestershire, the new Grafters will be on the road five days per week, averaging 13,000 miles annually, with Britannia Buffet Services expecting to keep them in the fleet for three years.

Each new chassis comes with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance. In addition the Isuzu Truck UK’s Customer CARE programme, where a dedicated Customer Liaison Executive is assigned to focus on delivering the optimum service and experience, is activated as soon as the vehicles are registered and on the road.

Britannia Buffet Services, established in 1999, offers a full range of catering services, including packed lunches, lunch trucks, and event buffets.

Two new Isuzu 7.5 tonners for Everyday Hire

South East-based Eveready Hire has taken delivery of two new Isuzu N75.190 long wheelbase trucks from local dealer Cordwallis Group, continuing a long-standing relationship with the manufacturer that has now spanned more than two decades.

Joining a 16-strong fleet, of which half are Isuzu 7.5-tonners, these latest two replace identical vehicles coming to the end of their service with the company. Mounted with plant bodies featuring a beavertail design from Solent Bodybuilders & Repairs, both new trucks have been fitted with hydraulic ramps, an electric winch and heavy-duty lashing points to support the company’s light and medium plant hire delivery operations.

Donovan Wilson, Operations Director for Eveready Hire, says:

“We have run Isuzu trucks in our fleet since we opened for business in 2003. The 7.5-tonners are perfect for our plant delivery operation – reliable, hardworking and versatile, with enough payload capacity for commercial sites, but a small enough footprint for domestic locations.

“In addition, the service we receive from the team at Cordwallis is fantastic. They go above and beyond to make us feel like a priority. We know we can rely on them to ensure any new vehicle is going to meet the demands of our business.”

As with all Isuzu chassis, the two 7.5-tonners come with the manufacturer’s comprehensive three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance and full access to Isuzu Truck UK’s Customer CARE team.

Operating across five sites in and around Greater London, the new trucks will be on the road five days a week, and are expected to remain within the fleet for at least six years.

Eveready Hire supplies plant and tools for the construction industry across London, the Home Counties, and the surrounding area.

Roofing Supplies Group covers North East with Isuzu

Longstanding Isuzu customer, Roofing Supplies Group has taken delivery of two N35.125 (T) Grafters from local dealer Warrington Vehicle Centre, to support the expanding operations of two new locations in Wallsend and Stockton-on-Tees. These vehicles will operate under the North East Roofing Supplies banner, strengthening the level of support in the area.

The company’s relationship with Isuzu spans more than two decades, having worked closely with Warrington Vehicle Centre from the outset. It currently operates a fleet of 37 commercial vehicles, including six Isuzu Grafters and six 7.5-tonne Isuzu trucks, each used to deliver specialist roofing materials.

Matt Roberts, Managing Director of Roofing Supplies Group, says:

“We’ve operated Isuzu vehicles since the beginning. Both the 3.5-tonners and 7.5-tonners in our fleet have proven themselves time and again with their reliability, payload capacity and performance. Add on the outstanding aftersales service, and there was no question about choosing Isuzu for this latest order.”

The two new 3.5-tonne Grafters are long wheelbase models, fitted with Brit-Tipp aluminium dropside bodies to accommodate transporting bulky roofing materials. They also feature twin rear wheels for increased strength, stability and traction.

“Warrington Vehicle Centre has been amazing. They handle everything for us and even make introductions to other local Isuzu dealers to support assets we base beyond their area of responsibility, so we always have great local service on our doorstep. It’s just another way they go above and beyond to prioritise customer needs,” adds Roberts.

The 3.5-tonners will be on the road five days per week and are expected to cover 30,000 miles annually and remain on the fleet for at least five years. Both chassis are covered by the manufacturer’s three-year, unlimited mileage warranty. This includes 24/7 roadside assistance and access to Isuzu Truck UK’s Customer CARE team.

Roofing Supplies Group, trading as North East Roofing Supplies and North West Roofing Supplies, respectively, opened its doors in 2001 and has steadily grown to now operate from 10 locations across the North of England. It supplies materials for pitched and flat roofs, ranging in size from domestic properties to large-scale new-build developments.

New Isuzu for John Smith (Melbourne)

East Midlands coal merchant, John Smith (Melbourne), has converted its small commercial vehicle fleet entirely to Isuzu, after taking delivery of a new N35.125 Grafter supplied by local dealer t.i.m Commercials.

Joining the company’s existing 6.5- and 7.5-tonne Isuzu trucks, the new Grafter replaces a 3.5-tonner from another manufacturer. It is mounted with a custom-built dropside body from Fred Smiths & Sons, which has been designed to maximise the payload capacity of the Grafter’s compact chassis. This makes the vehicle ideally suited for coal and smokeless fuel deliveries to narrow residential driveways or sites with restrictive access.

Tom Hunt, Owner of John Smith (Melbourne), says:

“When we were looking for a new, larger vehicle in 2021, we opted for the 6.5-tonne Isuzu, and we haven’t looked back since. Cab comfort across the range is second to none, which is a huge priority for us given the number of deliveries we do.

“When it came time to replace our old 3.5-tonner, it had to be another Isuzu. The Grafter is perfect for our needs, with a very competitive payload which means we can maximise the number of deliveries we can make. It’s the perfect truck to be joining our fleet ready for the busy winter season ahead.”

Each of the company’s three Isuzu vehicles have been selected to meet the needs of the business, providing maximum efficiency across varied delivery routes. The Grafter will handle the smaller, more challenging locations, while the larger trucks will take care of bulk deliveries.

As with both larger N-Series models, the new Grafter chassis comes with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance and full access to Isuzu Truck UK’s dedicated Customer CARE team. All maintenance and servicing will be managed by t.i.m Commercials.

Typically on the road five days a week, yet covering a modest annual milage of around 4,000 miles, the company expects its new Isuzu to remain on the fleet for up to 10 years.

Established in 1920, John Smith (Melbourne) is a family-run coal merchant delivering a range of solid fuels to customers within a 12-mile radius of its Melbourne, Derbyshire location.

Major utility provider puts trust in Isuzu

Ilkeston-based utility contractor, Trust Utility Management, has taken delivery of two new Isuzu N75.190(E) tippers from local dealer t.i.m. Commercials in a conquest deal, which sees the Isuzu trucks replace another manufacturer’s brand in the 80-strong mixed commercial vehicle fleet.

Mounted with robust tipper bodies from Brooks Engineering, they will operate throughout the Midlands, carrying tools and associated materials to excavation sites, alongside transporting tarmac for surface work repairs.

Clive Smedley, Plant and Transport Manager for Trust Utility Management, says: “We’ve always specified other manufacturers in the past, but would occasionally rent an Isuzu when our trucks went in for repair, so we were comfortable with the product and knew it was well-suited to our work.

“But the biggest eye opener was when we compared Isuzu’s repair & maintenance costs for a 7.5-tonner, versus the costs we were paying for other marques in our fleet. Not only could we unlock a significant cost-saving, it served as a great indication for just how reliable the Isuzu trucks would be, which gives us real peace of mind moving forwards.

“Add to that a lighter, compact, and more agile chassis, coupled with an impressive payload capacity, and it was a no brainer for us to make the switch. From an aftersales perspective it also couldn’t be more convenient, as our local Isuzu Truck dealership is just two miles up the road.”

Both new vehicles feature lockable tool pods behind the cab for the safe storage of petrol-powered equipment and machinery. They have also been fitted with a five-camera system, including one interior and four external cameras, to improve driver safety and bolster vehicle security.

They are expected to be on the road up to six days per week and will remain in service for five years, averaging 50,000 miles annually.

As with all new Isuzu trucks, both of the 7.5-tonne chassis come with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty as standard – a reflection of Isuzu Truck’s confidence in its product. The customer has added a four-year full Repair and Maintenance contract, with all scheduled work to be undertaken by the team at t.i.m. Commercials.

Formed in 2006, Trust Utility Management is a provider of multi-utility civil engineering, offering core services in the telecoms, water, electrical and groundwork sectors across the Midlands and Yorkshire.

MAC Roofing celebrates 50 years with new Isuzu

MAC Roofing & Contracting has taken delivery of its first 7.5-tonne Isuzu N75.190(E) dropside from local dealer Ditchburn Truck Services. The truck features a bespoke 6.7m-long body, purpose-built to accommodate four pallets of aluminium building materials and finished in a striking livery to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary.

With a fleet of 50 vans, MAC Roofing previously relied on smaller vehicles for transporting materials. As the manufacturing side of the business has continued to expand, the company sought out a solution that could offer an increased payload and greater operational flexibility. The new Isuzu truck will allow for easy transport of its aluminium flashings, guttering and façade panels used primarily on commercial buildings.

Sean Matthews, Group Supply Chain Director for MAC Roofing says:

“The aluminium building materials we produce are bulky, so we needed a vehicle that could be customised to fit the materials, without compromising on reliability. The Isuzu 7.5-tonner gives us the flexibility and payload we need to support our manufacturing operation as it continues to grow.”

Primarily based at the company’s Manchester Hyde depot, the truck will also operate across the firm’s three other locations, supporting a range of functions across the wider MAC group as needed.

“The aftersales support and warranty Isuzu provides was a deciding factor when we were choosing our new vehicle; having worked with Ditchburn Truck Services before, we knew we could rely on them to help us choose a vehicle that met our exact needs,” adds Matthews.

The Isuzu N75 chassis is backed by the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty which includes 24/7 roadside assistance and full access to Isuzu Truck UK’s dedicated Customer CARE team, all designed to meet the needs of commercial operators.

On the road five days per week, the truck is likely to cover around 75,000 miles per annum and is expected to remain in the fleet for around four years, depending on total mileage.

MAC Roofing has grown continuously since opening its doors in 1975. It offers a full range of services including flat and pitched roofing, standing seams, cladding, specialist fabrication, roof maintenance, design support, specialist refurbishment, and sustainable systems.

Eight Isuzu trucks expand L Lynch Plant Hire's Fleet

Nationwide provider of plant and transport, L Lynch Plant Hire and Haulage has taken delivery of eight new Isuzu N75.190(E) trucks with plant bodies, supplied by local dealer Cordwallis Group, as part of a major expansion of the company’s 7.5-tonne plant delivery fleet.

A longstanding Isuzu Truck customer, the company has been operating the Japanese marque’s 7.5-tonners for around a decade. Having been consistently impressed by their performance, this latest investment increases the number it operates to 11. They will be used to help reduce customer delivery times, especially to construction sites with limited space or on tight urban streets.

Stephen Bremner, Fleet Director of L Lynch Plant Hire and Haulage says: “We’ve always had a few Isuzu trucks in our fleet, but as the plant hire side of the business has continued to grow, we needed a reliable 7.5-tonner to support that growth. The N-Series’ manoeuvrability, payload capacity and customisable chassis makes it the ideal choice.”

All eight vehicles feature bespoke bodywork from Solent Body Builders, which include a custom plant body and beavertail with alloy lift ramps, a front mounted toolbox and a working at height safety system. This versatile configuration allows for the safe and efficient loading of a varied range of plant machinery, alongside secure storage for small electrical tools.

“The 7.5-tonners are perfect for the collection and delivery of plant to our customers. We received great support from Cordwallis and the bodybuilder to develop a system that takes full advantage of the narrow footprint and durability of the chassis, while prioritising driver safety and ease of use,” adds Bremner.

On the road five days per week and expected to cover up to 40,000 miles annually, the vehicles join a 300-strong mixed commercial vehicle fleet and will be distributed to the company’s depots across the country.

All servicing and maintenance will be managed within Isuzu Truck’s dealer network, with Cordwallis Group taking care of those vehicles based in Hemel Hempstead. The customer will also benefit from the manufacturer’s three-year, unlimited mileage warranty which includes 24/7 roadside assistance, alongside access to the Isuzu Truck Customer CARE team.

For 45 years, L Lynch Plant Hire and Haulage has provided plant hire and transport solutions for the construction industry across the UK, including on a range of major infrastructure projects.

Three Isuzu Grafters join the Hanover Dairies herd

Hanover Dairies has taken delivery of three new Isuzu N35.125 Grafters, bringing the total operating across its growing commercial vehicle fleet to more than 90. The versatile 3.5-tonner has become a firm favourite with drivers, after the company made the switch to the Japanese manufacturer in 2020.

The three Grafters have been designed to stand out on the road, with custom-built dropside bodies from Robinson Truck Bodies and a new livery that adopts the look of a classic milk float. Replacing older vehicles, they will make deliveries from the company’s Oxford depot, joining a 130-strong mixed fleet running from eight locations in the North East, North West and south of England.

Rob Hodgson, Operations Assistant Manager at Hanover Dairies, says: “The Grafter is perfectly suited to our business. It’s small and manoeuvrable, yet with a payload capacity that matches the requirements of our varied delivery routes. Our teams must access everything from tight residential roads and cul-de-sacs to urban centres, businesses, schools and shops, and the Grafter gives us the flexibility to get to them all quietly and efficiently.”

On the road up to six days per week, the vehicles begin their rounds at 2am – meaning refrigerated bodywork isn’t necessary given typically lower ambient temperatures overnight. They will average anywhere between 8,000 and 30,000 miles annually, depending on their assigned routes.

“We operate from numerous sites across the country, so it gives us peace of mind knowing we’re never more than about 20 miles from an Isuzu dealer, even as we continue to expand the business to new areas. It has been clear from the beginning that Isuzu prioritises its customer service, ensuring our vehicles stay out on the road so we can keep the business running smoothly,” adds Hodgson.

Across the country, aftersales support is provided by experienced Isuzu Truck dealer partners, with Cordwallis Group servicing vehicles based at Hanover Dairies’ Oxford site, Arlesey Car & Commercials looking after Isuzu vehicles at the customer’s Cambridge base, while Thompsons Commercials works with the six depots spread across Northern England. All maintenance is overseen by the manufacturer’s National Fleet team.

The new Grafters are supplied with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, giving Hanover Dairies access to 24/7 roadside assistance through Isuzu Assist, alongside Isuzu Truck UK’s dedicated Customer CARE team.

From humble beginnings in 1976, when Trevor Hanover bought his first milk round, Hanover Dairies now delivers grass-fed cow’s milk from local, British farms to more than 120,000 customers across the country. The company prides itself on delivering its milk in environmentally friendly returnable glass bottles and recyclable plastic containers.

LTC takes fleet to the next level with 7.5 tonne Isuzu

Plymouth-based LTC Specialist Scaffolding has taken delivery of a new 7.5-tonne Isuzu N75.190(E) long wheelbase truck from local dealer Harry Moore Commercials, continuing a relationship with the Japanese manufacturer that spans more than two decades.

The latest arrival joins a 60-strong commercial vehicle fleet, replacing an almost identical Isuzu that was one of the company’s first. Mounted with a custom-built dropside body from Brit-Tipp, the new truck features an extra-strong wooden headboard, with sockets in the bed to house up to 10 scaffolding poles. Eight additional heavy-duty D-rings have also been included, ensuring the poles, plus all related equipment and tools, remain secure during transit.

Rob Wills, Fleet Director, says: “We managed to get nearly 20 years of hard graft out of the truck this one replaces, so it was a no brainer to opt for another Isuzu. We’ve returned to Isuzu time and time again as they always deliver exactly what we ask of them.

“We particularly love the N-Series for its proven reliability, small footprint and impressive payload. It’s perfectly suited to the full range of work we carry out across the region, which can often mean having to access sites via tight, winding roads.”

LTC Specialist Scaffolding operates 17 Isuzu trucks, comprised of four 3.5-tonne Grafters, alongside 10 7.5-tonne and four 11-tonne rigids. The latest to join the business is supplied with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance and access to the Isuzu Truck UK Customer CARE team.

“This is the first Isuzu we’ve purchased through Harry Moore Commercials – we turned to them as we were looking for a local dealer which truly understood our business. The team did a fantastic job, working closely with us and the guys at Brit-Tipp to spec the vehicle exactly how we need it. I’m sure the aftersales support will be just as good,” adds Wills.

LTC Specialist Scaffolding, a subsidiary of LTC Group87, operates from three sites in Plymouth, Redruth and Cullompton. Expected to be on the road up to six days per week, the 7.5-tonner will work out of the company’s Plymouth base, providing scaffolding and access solutions to housing developments, large projects, small works, temporary roofing, restoration sites, maintenance programmes and more across Devon and Cornwall.

Fourwinds Garage sticks with Isuzu reliability

Newquay-based Fourwinds Garage has taken delivery of three new Isuzu N75.190 recovery vehicles, returning to the Japanese manufacturer once again following seven years of consistent reliability from its existing 7.5-tonners.

The new arrivals replace similar trucks from another manufacturer and join a 25-strong vehicle recovery fleet, which now includes eight 7.5-tonne Isuzu N-Series rigids. Featuring custom low approach slidebed bodies from J&J Conversions, the latest three to enter service will primarily be used to clear road traffic accidents and make long-distance vehicle deliveries.

Dave Henwood, Managing Director at Fourwinds Garage, says: “The most important thing for us when choosing a new vehicle is reliability, and our experience with Isuzu has shown its trucks will always deliver that. So much so, over the coming years we will be looking to transition the remainder of our 7.5-tonne models to the Isuzu N-Series.

“The chassis is remarkably strong and the body we spec is equally tough; combined they are perfectly suited to the recovery industry. When you factor in the manoeuvrability and small footprint of the Isuzu, it’s simply the right tool for the job given the narrow, winding roads we often find ourselves working on here in Cornwall.”

The low approach slidebed was chosen to facilitate the efficient loading of prestige or sports cars with minimal ground clearance. Working closely with Helen Majeed at J&J Conversions, Fourwinds Garage selected a range of further customisation for the body, including a remote operated winch, chassis mounted lockers and a selection of LED light bars and strobes to increase visibility and safety at the roadside.

The new vehicles feature a mix of manual transmission and Isuzu’s automated Easyshift, meeting the preference of individual drivers. On the road seven days per week, they are expected to clock up around 60,000 miles annually and should remain in the Fourwinds Garage fleet for six years.

All three have been supplied with Isuzu Truck UK’s three-year, unlimited mileage warranty, which includes roadside assistance and is backed by the company’s dedicated Customer CARE programme.

Established in 1988, Fourwinds Garage specialises in roadside recovery and repairs, working with The AA, Green Flag and Brittania Rescue, alongside a full range of additional maintenance, MOT and repair services.
